BIOGRAPHY

Sara is a Pakistani and English soprano who has recently completed the  MMUS programme at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Here she was awarded the Kathleen Roberts Vocal Scholarship. She has previously studied at Leeds College of Music.

Most recently she has performed as Elizabeth in Libby Larsen's UK premiere of Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus at Blackheath Halls. She has performed roles with Barefoot Opera, Northern Opera and Leeds Youth Opera and has taken part in workshops with several companies such as National Opera Studio, British Youth Opera and Barefoot Opera.  She has performed as Susanna in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, the Sand Fairy in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel and Flora in Britten’s Turn of the Screw. With Northern Opera she has played The Fairy Godmother in Viardot’s Cinderella and has performed in Barefoot Opera’s production of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas as 2nd Woman and Chorus.

She is currently teaching in London at a studio. Her approach to teaching singing is holistic and informed by interdisciplinary approaches from SLTS, Accent Method, Classical Voice training at SATS by Janice Chapman (with training in Contemporary styles). 

Other than music, Sara is a Gestalt Therapist and has a private practice working in Shoreditch and online with adults, this informs her work, singing and teaching.
